System Requirements For Windows: The ioSafe Rugged Portable USB 3.0 version is formatted with an NTFS file system, the default for Windows operating systems. For Mac: The ioSafe Rugged Portable FireWire 800 for Mac is pre-formatted and supported on Mac’s using the G3 (or later) or Intel processor. Connecting the ioSafe Rugged Portable 1. Connect. Use any one of the various cables to connect the drive to the computer. Only one cable should be used at a time.
