interface card (EHWIC). The EHWIC 1 GE-SFP-CU can be installed on the Cisco Integrated Services
Routers Generation 2 (ISR G2) family platforms and has a dual-purpose uplink (DPU) that can run in
small-form-factor pluggable (SFP) or copper mode. It supports the following features:

Overview of the EHWIC 1 GE-SFP-CU Overview of the EHWIC 1 GE-SFP-CU The Cisco Gigabit Ethernet WAN EHWIC (EHWIC 1 GE-SFP-CU) is an enhanced high-speed interface card providing copper and optical Gigabit Ethernet ports and connectivity of T1/E1 and T3/E3 over optical for Cisco ISRs. The EHWIC 1 GE-SFP-CU provides copper and optical Gigabit Ethernet connectivity through a dual-purpose uplink. Configuring the EHWIC 1 GE-SFP-CU LEDs Table 1 lists the LEDs and describes their functionality and different states. The LEDs provide a visual indication of your available services.
