BEFORE USING DRIP COFFEEMAKER Before using, cycle a carafe of cold water through coffeemaker to remove any impurities that could affect flavor. Follow guidelines for brewing coffee, except do not add coffee to basket. After cycle, turn OFF and unplug cord from electrical outlet. Wash carafe and basket in hot soapy water, rinse and dry.
