OPERATION DIRECTION OF ROTATION SELECTOR UNLOCK (FORWARD/REVERSE/CENTER LOCK) KEYLESS (RELEASE) DRILL BIT CHUCK See Figure 3. OPERATION TWO-SPEED GEAR TRAIN See Figure 5. LOW 1 SPEED The drill has a two-speed gear train designed for drilling or driving at LO (1) or HI (2) speeds. A slide switch is located on TWO-SPEED GEAR top of the drill to select either LO (1) or HI (2) speed. When TRAIN (HI-LO) using drill in the LO (1) speed range, speed will decrease and unit will have more power and torque. MAINTENANCE MALLET CHUCK REMOVAL See Figures 12 - 14. The chuck may be removed and replaced by a new one. CHUCK JAWS  Lock the switch trigger by placing the direction of rotation selector in center position.  Insert a 5/6 in. or larger hex key into the chuck of the drill and tighten the chuck jaws securely.  Tap the hex key sharply with a mallet in a clockwise di- rection.
