OPERATION TO INSTALL BATTERY PACK SELECTOR WITH CENTER n Lock the switch trigger on the drill by placing the LOCK POSITION direction of rotation (forward-reverse) selector in center position. OPERATION REVERSIBLE TWO SPEED See Figure 4. GEAR TRAIN (HI-LO) This tool has the feature of being reversible. The direction of LO rotation is controlled by a selector located above the switch SPEED trigger. OPERATION INSTALLING BITS UNLOCK (RELEASE) See Figures 9-10. n Lock the switch trigger by placing the direction of rota- tion selector in center position. OPERATION ADJUSTING ADJUSTABLE TORQUE CLUTCH TO DECREASE RING TORQUE This drill is equipped with an adjustable torque clutch for driving different types of screws into different materials. OPERATION DRILLING See Figure 13. When drilling hard smooth surfaces use a center punch to mark desired hole location. This will prevent the drill bit from slipping off center as the hole is started. However, the low speed feature allows starting holes without center punching if desired. To accomplish this, simply operate the drill at a low speed until the hole is started. The material to be drilled should be secured in a vise or with clamps to keep it from turning as the drill bit rotate

MAINTENANCE CHUCK REMOVAL MALLET See Figures 14, 15, and 16. The chuck must be removed in order to use some acces- sories.
