SECTION 2: TO THE OWNER Model 627 42-inch two-stage snow thrower is designed for use on 600-series lawn tractors manufactured in 1996 or later ONLY. It will NOT fit nor operate properly or safely on ANY other tractor. It will NOT fit on any FastAttach™ compatible tractor. NOTE: If your 600-series lawn tractor was manufactured prior to 1996, model 627 snow thrower attachment can be mounted on the tractor with special instructions and minor modifications to the tractor. SECTION 4: ASSEMBLY WARNING: Before installing attachment, place tractor on a firm and level surface. Place the PTO in the disengaged (OFF) position, set the parking brake, shut engine off and remove key to prevent unintended starting. NOTE: Your tractor’s cutting deck and PTO belt must be removed prior to mounting the snow thrower attachment. Refer to your tractor’s Operator’s Manual for detailed instructions. Reinsert the remaining hex screws removed in Step 4 through the remaining aligning holes in both the support carriage assembly and the tractor’s frame rail (just behind the tractor’s front pivot bracket). Securely fasten with the remaining lock washers and hex nuts. See Figure 7. 9. Securely tighten all the other hardware used to mount the support carriage assembly. Attaching The Lift Handle 1. Remove the hex screws and flange nuts from the Vertical lower portion of the lift handle. Links 2. Adjust skid shoes as follows: 1. Loosen, but do NOT remove, the three hex nuts which fasten the skid shoe to the auger housing. 2. Raise or lower the skid shoe to desired position.
