Unpacking 1. Remove contents from the shipping box. 2. Inspect contents for shipping damage and report damage, if any, to your distributor. 3. Be sure to keep the box and packing material should you need to pack the lathe for moving. 4. Do not clean the lathe with anything other than a damp cloth or a mild solvent. Operations Tailstock Movement Tailstock Handwheel (A, Figure 2) – Turn clockwise to move tailstock spindle forward. Turn counterclockwise to retract tailstock spindle. Face Plate (Figure 6) – Screws on to the headstock and is used in face plate turning operations. Mount your workpiece onto the faceplate with brass screws (not provided). Make sure the screws are not so long that they will enter the area of the workpiece where the material is to be removed.
