Introduction 1.2.1 Indicators The Ericsson W25 is equipped with six status indicators located on the front panel of the unit. Battery 2 Battery The Ericsson W25 can be fitted with a rechargeable battery to provide redundancy in case of a power failure. When mains powered, the Ericsson W25 will keep the battery charged. Note: The battery is not fully charged when delivered. The charging time for an empty battery is about 4 hours. The battery will not charge if the environment temperature is above 40 degrees Celsius, due to over heating protection. 2.1 Installation of the Battery The battery is available as an

Telephony and Fax 3 Telephony and Fax The Ericsson W25 can be connected to a telephone and/or a fax via the Phone or Phone/fax outlet on the back of the Ericsson W25 unit. The telephony and the fax will work without any further configurations. The operator needs to support a fax function over IP. If you experience problems see the trouble shooting section 6.5 – Telephony and Fax Service. Note: Allow approximately two minutes for the Ericsson W25 to startup. 3.1 SIM Authentication

Configuration and Management 4 Configuration and Management When the physical installation of the Ericsson W25 is finished (as described in the Quick Installation Guide), the internal Web User Interface (WUI) is available for configuration and status control.
