1. Remove all packing items applied to heater for shipment. Keep plastic cover UNPACKING caps (attached to inlet connector and hose/regulator assembly) for storage. 2. INSTALLATION WARNING Review and understand the warnings in the Safety Informa- tion section, pages 2 and 3. They are needed to safely oper- ate this heater. Follow all local codes when using this heater. WARNING Test all gas piping and connections for leaks after installa- tion or servicing. Correct all leaks at once. 1. Provide propane supply system (see Propane Supply, page 5). 2. Connect POL fitting on hose/regulator assembly to propane tank(s). Turn POL fitting counterclockwise into threads

5. If pilot light goes out, repeat step 4. 6. When pilot remains lit, fully open main burner valve. Do this by turning valve handle to the HIGH position. You can now position the handle to any setting between HIGH and LOW. CAUTION Only use the main burner valve handle to adjust the burner flame. Always turn handle pointer to the HIGH position before turning it to a lower position. Never set handle pointer between the LOW and OFF positions. MAINTENANCE WARNING Never attempt to service heater while it is connected to propane supply, operating, or hot. Severe burns can occur. 1. Keep heater clean. 2. Inspect heater before each use. Check connections for leaks. Apply mixture of liquid soap and water to connections. Bubbles forming show a leak that must be corrected. Correct all leaks at once. 3. Inspect hose/regulator assembly before each use. If hose is highly worn or cut, replace. 4. Have heater inspected yearly by service person. T
