10 Quick Start Guide To install the battery 1. Align the battery’s exposed copper contacts with the battery connectors inside the battery compartment. 2. Insert the side of the battery with the contacts first and then gently push the battery into place. 3. Replace the back cover. Quick Start Guide 11 5. Charging the Battery New batteries are shipped partially charged. Before you start using your phone, it is recommended that you install and charge the battery. To charge the battery 1. Connect the USB connector of the AC adapter to the sync connector at the bottom of your phone. 2. 12 Quick Start Guide Configure data connection settings After the phone restarts, you will be asked if you want to automatically configure your phone’s data connections. By letting the phone configure the data connection settings, you do not need to enter the settings for 3G/GPRS and WAP manually. To automatically configure data connection settings 1. When you see the Connection Setup screen, click Yes. Connection Setup then starts to configure your phone’s data connection settings.
