Unwanted minerals and bacteria from the water are trapped inside the filter. When the unit is running you WILL NOT see or feel a “mist”. However, you should still continue to clean your humidifier regularly as needed. Cleaning involves two steps, SCALE REMOVAL and DISINFECTING. Be sure to perform these in the proper order to avoid harmful chemical interactions. • First, turn off and unplug the humidifier. • Remove the Water Tank and Motor Housing.
