EXTENSION CORD SELECTION If an extension cord is used, make sure the conductor size is large enough to prevent excessive voltage drop which will cause loss of power and possible motor damage. OPERATION USING A DISC GRINDER Be certain that the wheel guard and auxiliary handle are installed. Firmly grip the auxiliary handle and motor housing (Fig. 8). Lift up the rear of the motor housing so that only the front section of the grinding wheel contacts the work. Use light pressure. Always lift the grinder off the work before starting or stopping the motor. The arrow on the front gear housing indicates the direction in which the grinding wheel rotates.
