6. GENERATOR USE To prevent electrical shock from faulty appliances, the ra!m generator should be grounded. Connect a length of heavy wire between the ground terminal and the ground source. CAUTION: l Limit operation requiring maximum power (3.5KVA) to 30 minutes. For continuous operation, do not exceed the rated power of 3.0 KVA. In either case, the total wattage of all appliances connected must be considered. l Do not exceed the current limit specified for any one receptacle. l Conn

Oil Alert System The Oil Alert system is designed to prevent engine damage caused by an in- sufficent amount of oil in the crankcase. Before the oil level in the crankcase can fall below a safe limit, the Oil Alert system will automatically shut down the engine (the engine switch will remain in the ON position). If the Oil Alert system shuts down the engine, the Oil Alert lamp will flash when you operate the starter, and the engine will not run. If this occurs, add engine oil (p. 8). OIL
