Maintenance And Service ROUTINE MAINTENANCE: At least once a year, run through the following procedures to ensure the system is clean and working properly. Check the burner to see if all the ports are clear and clean. Check the pilot to make sure it is not blocked by anything. The pilot flame should be blue with little or no yellow on the tips. Maintenance And Service REPLACING THE GLASS: IMPORTANT: Do not operate with the glass front removed, cracked or broken. The glass in the fireplace is a high temperature ceramic. If the glass is damaged in any way, a factory replacement door is required (see PARTS LIST). Wear gloves when handling the damaged glass door assembly to prevent personal injury.
