Operating Instructions ADJUSTING VENTURI AIR SETTINGS: There is only one (1) venturi and one (1) air shutter to be adjusted. When installing the burner top, ensure that the venturi tube is engaged to the air shutter adjustment rod. Use this small venturi adjustment rod to achieve a proper and efficient flame, shown in Figure 5. Adjust rod until the flame pattern is similar to Figure #. Maintenance And Service ROUTINE MAINTENANCE: At least once a year, run through the following procedures to ensure the system is clean and working properly. Check the burner to see if all the ports are clear and clean. Check the pilot to make sure it is not blocked by anything. The pilot flame should be blue with little or no yellow on the tips. Secondary Installation LOG SET AND EMBER INSTALLATION: The placement of the logs is not arbitrary. If they are positioned incorrectly, the flames can be “pinched” and will not burn correctly. The burner comes with placement pins and rest areas, which make alignment easier. Using Figures 27 to 31, carefully set the logs in place.
