4 Safety regulations Any person using the unit must observe the standard safety regulations and read the certificate to prevent incorrect operation or abuse of the unit. 8.3.1 Cardiac pacemaker The following instructions apply to persons fitted with a cardiac pacemaker: • When the mobile phone unit is switched-on, ensure that a minimum distance of 20 cm between the mobile- phone unit and the Pacemaker is maintained. • In order to help guarantee this distance, it is recommended that the mobile phone unit is not kept in a breast pocket. • To minimise interference we recommend that the ear furthest away from the Pacemaker is used when using the mobile phone unit.
