D. Engine Stop Switch Some engines are equipped with an optional Stop Switch. STOP This rocker switch is used to shut off the ignition that supplies the spark plug with power. Pressing the "OFF" STOP SLOW RUN FAST CHOKE PRIMER position will turn the engine off when it is running. This switch must be in the “ON” position or the engine will not Figure 13. 3. When starting a cold engine, push primer bulb firmly with your thumb 3 times, allowing primer bulb to return completely to original position between pushes. See Figure 15. NOTES Cooler temperatures may require pushing primer bulb firmly with your thumb 5 times. DO NOT use primer to restart a warm engine after a short shutdown.
