INSTALLATION STEP 1 Remove and discard the packing materials from the bottom of the base unit. You will see the mattress retainer bracket and headboard brackets attached to the side rail of the bed. Remove these items and set aside for the moment. Remove bagged parts and the power cord from the underside of the bed. Remove the four bolts at the foot end of the bed and attach the mattress retainer.. See Figure 1. INSTALLATION HEADBOARD BRACKET ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS Assemble headboard brackets for full or queen size bedding as shown in Detail A. Headboard brackets for twin size bedding do not require assembly. DETAIL A QUEEN SIZE FULL SIZE Slide headboard bracket assembly between the metal frame and the wood trim panel. Position brackets to allow a one inch space between the mattress and the headboard.
