If the cuff is not prefolded, lay the cuff flat in front of you. Place the metal D-ring on your left. The stethoscope faces up. Pull the end of the cuff through the metal D-ring. Make sure the parts are securely and correctly assembled. CAUTION: Failure to assemble the parts correctly may result in injury or an incorrect reading. 4.
