INSTALLING ThE CUFF hOLDER This monitor comes equipped with a removable cuff holder for your conve- TM nience. When not in use, simply slip your Easy-Fit cuff into the holder for storage. To install the cuff holder: 1. Align the cuff holder with the rear of the blood pressure monitor. 2. Slide the cuff holder into the rear of the blood pressure monitor until it snaps securely into place. To remove the cuff holder: 1. Push the tab on the cuff holder away from the blood pres- sure monitor. 2.

TAKING yOUR BLOOD PRESSURE Tips for Blood Pressure Monitoring: ☞ Relax for about 5 minutes before measurement. ☞ Do not smoke or ingest caffeine at least 30 minutes prior to measurement. ☞ Remove constricting clothing and place cuff on bare arm. ☞ Unless your physician recommends otherwise, use left arm to measure pressure. ☞ Do not talk during measurement. ☞ Do not cross legs and keep your feet flat on floor during measurement. WhAT IS AN IRREGULAR hEARTBEAT The UA-787W Blood Pressure Monitor provides a blood pressure and pulse rate measurement even when an irregular heartbeat is detected. The Irregular Heartbeat symbol will appear in the display window in the event an Irregular Heartbeat has occured during measurement. USING ThE MONITOR WITh AC ADAPTER The UA-787W has an AC adapter jack to allow you to supply power from an outlet in your home. We recommend you use only the supplied AC adapter to avoid potential damage to the monitor. Connecting the AC adapter to the monitor: 1. Gently insert the AC adapter plug into a 120V AC outlet. 2.
