UNIDEN Model uh044sx UHF CB Radio GETTING STARTED BATTERY INSTALLATION Your uh044sx pack includes 3 AA rechargeable NiMH batteries to power the uh044sx. You must install and then charge the batteries for 14+ hrs before use. The uh044sx can also use 3 AA Alkaline batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries to avoid damage to the unit. The battery level is displayed in 4 levels: LEVEL 1 Battery 100% full LEVEL 2 Battery approx 30% capacity LEVEL 3 Battery approx 15% capacity LEVEL 4 Almost Empty When SW is pressed at Level 3, the PTT Error Tone will be heard and the channel number will flash. 9

As the batteries lose power, will flash. The LCD display will turn off after 30sec. An error tone will sound if any key is pressed.
