Placing and Answering Calls LINE BUTTONS AND LIGHTS Each call is represented on a separate line button. The lights next to the line buttons tell you what’s happening. ● The red light tells you which line you’re on or will get when you lift the handset. Line Request If you want to use a particular outside line that is busy (green light is on), you can tell the MERLIN system to signal you when the line is free. Programmable Button Features OUTSIDE AUTO DIAL You can dial any outside number with a single touch of a but- ton.
