MVDS X-1 User's Guide 1.1 About this product MVDS stands for "Multicast Video Distribution System", which allows to distribute video or audio data from Player (e.g. PC, DVD player, etc) to Display (e.g. TV, Monitor, etc) by IP Multicast. The MVDS consists of transmitter and receiver(s). The transmitter is connected to Player and the receiver(s) are connected to Display. Transmitter encodes the signal output from the Player (e.g. video, audio, etc.) and distributes its codec data to receiver
