They are nickel-plated to resist the signal degradation caused by corrosion. 13. INSTALLATION MOUNTING LOCATIONS Engine Compartment Never mount this unit in the engine compartment. Mounting the unit in the engine compartment will void your warranty. Trunk Mounting Mounting the amplifier vertically or inverted will provide adequate cooling of the amplifier. OPERATION ADJUSTING GAIN Crossover Switch To adjust the gain setting, turn the amplifier gains all the way down (counter- clockwise).Turn the source unit volume up until distortion is audible and then turn it down a bit until the distortion is inaudible.This will be about all the way up on most source units.
