Description 7 Control The DSP5000C is operated either by commands received from the Meridian System Remote (available from your dealer), or by commands received through the communications cables of a Meridian installation (for example, from the front panel of a 565, 562 or 501). Using DSP5000C 11 As a Left – Right or a Surround pair The locations chosen for a pair of DSP5000Cs are crucial to getting the best possible acoustic result. For two-channel stereo, the two speakers should ideally be equidistant from the main listening position, and the same distance apart. Using DSP5000C 13 Standby The entire Meridian system is designed to be left connected to AC power at all times. • The Standby state ensures that the components operate at maximum efficiency from the moment when you start listening. It is perfectly safe and consumes a negligible amount of power. However, when you are not going to use your system for some time (when you are going on holiday, for instance), we would advise you to disconnect it from the AC power supply. • The memory functions of DSP

Using DSP5000C 14 Basic operation of DSP5000C Note DSP5000C is factory set for the most common installation, one using the full features of a Meridian 500-Series CD player and 565 Digital Surround Processor.
