1. Outline 1.1 Characteristics of this Driver • This driver complies with TWAIN regulations V1.9 (the latest version as of June 2006), which are global standards for image scanners. The driver can be used in all TWAIN- compliant applications. • This driver also supports an image scanner that has the "double-sided scan" function. 3. Installation 3.1 Preparation 1. Make sure that the operating system (OS) is installed correctly. 2. In case of the SCSI connection, confirm that the SCSI adapter is connected to your PC and operating correctly. In case of the USB connection, confirm that the USB port is installed in your PC. 3. 3.2 Installing the Scanner Driver ® The Windows XP screen samples are shown below. The screen and operations will differ slightly depending on the OS that is being used. 1. Turn on the scanner. ® 2.
