About This Publication This manual is intended as a detailed “how to” reference for installing, piping, wiring, configuring, starting up, operating, maintaining, calibrating, and servicing Honeywell’s family of Release 300 ® Series 100 and Series 900 ST 3000 Smart Transmitters. 1.2 ST 3000 Smart Transmitters About the transmitter The ST 3000 Smart Transmitter comes in a variety of models for measurement applications involving one of these basic types of pressure: • Differential Pressure • Gauge Pressure • Absolute Pressure The transmitter measures the process pressure and transmits an output signal proportional to the measured variable over a 4 to 20 milliampere, two-wire loop. Its major components are an electronics housing and a meter body as shown in F
