3. Inserting SD memory card • An SD memory card (not included) is needed for recording. Operation modes There are three basic modes for operating the camcorder: Video preview mode, Photo preview mode and Playback mode. It will always launch in video preview mode after being switched on. Recording videos Recording quality 1. In Video preview mode, press MENU to show the camcorder menu. 2. Press - or + to highlight Quality within the Video Menu 3. Taking photos To take photos 1. In Photo preview mode, press RECORD to take photos. • The photo resolution is 3 megapixels which is interpolated from a 1 megapixel sensor. 2. After taking a photo, please allow a few seconds for image processing before the next photo can be taken. 19
