IBM Tivoli Storage Manager for System Backup and Recovery Overview IBM Tivoli Storage Manager for System Backup and Recovery (also known as “SysBack”) provides system administrators and other system users with a simple, efficient way to backup and recover data from a command line or a SMIT menu-driven interface. SysBack lets you recover all or part of the system. SysBack is also flexible; you can install one system installation image to another system with either identical or different hardware

Chapter 2. SMIT Overview This chapter provides information about the SMIT menu interface. SMIT is used for virtually all AIX system administrative tasks.
