3.0 Installing the Printer This section explains how to connect and load the printer with media and ribbon. ; ; Note: When connecting the AC Power Cord or data cables to the printer, ensure the Power On/Off Switch is in the ‘Off’ position. 3.0.1 Communications Interfacing Using a data detection process, the interface selection occurs automatically in the printer. At power-up, the printer begins monitoring the interface ports for activity. When the host transmits data, the printer port detecting this data is set ‘active’ and remains active as long as data flow continues.
