LOADING A RIBBON 2 This chapter describes how to load a ribbon. Use a ribbon when printing on thermal transfer supplies. There are two types of supplies: Thermal Direct do not use a ribbon for Supplies printing. Thermal Transfer require a ribbon for printing. Replacing a Ribbon To replace a ribbon: 1. Push down on the ribbon window to unlock it and raise the window. 2. Remove and discard the used ribbon and take-up core.
