Factors Affecting Printer Performance Several factors affect the time it takes to print a job. Among these is printer speed, measured in pages per minute (ppm). Factors that affect printer speed include special media (such as transparencies, glossy media, and heavy media) and custom-size media. Managing Memory This printer supports up to 208 MB of memory. You can add additional memory by installing Dual Inline Memory Modules (DIMMs). To allow for memory expansion, the printer has three available DIMM slots, which accept 4, 8, 16, 32, or 64 MB of RAM each. For information on installing printer memory, see Appendix A.
