When the PRN608-S has received one byte of data without errors, the data is stored in the input buffer. PRN608-S Electrolytic corrosion may significantly shorten the life of the thermal head. Thermal paper ordinarily contains electrolytic material to prevent sheets from sticking to each other due to static electricity. If there is too much of this electrolytic material, high temperatures and humidity cause the material to ionise, resulting in electrolytic corrosion of the thermal head.
