Changing Printer Settings The printer settings allow you to control your print job. With them you can specify the number of copies, a page range, and the paper size. You can also specify high-quality by turning on MicroWeave or fast printing by turning on High Speed. All printer settings have default settings that are sufficient for most print jobs. Getting the Most Out of Your Printer Color printing takes time. How much time depends on the type of image and the final output quality you require. Simple graphics such as bar graphs print quickly. Complex graphics such as grayscale or full-color images take longer, especially when you want the highest possible quality. Although you can achieve satisfactory results with most plain paper, coated papers give you better results because they reduce the amount of ink that is absorbed. You will not achieve 720 dpi unless you use special coated paper for 720 dpi. EPSON provides special coated papers that are formulated specifically for the inks used in this printer. High-Speed Mode When High-Speed Mode is on, the printer prints in bidirectional mode: it prints a line from right to left and the next line from left to right.
