1 Installing the AP+2 as an Access Point This chapter provides detailed instructions about installing the AP+2 as an access point. If you have already done this using the printed Quick Start booklet, you do not have to perform the steps in this chapter. Instead, you should now set up security for your wireless network. The TX/RX, LINK/ACT, and Power lights on the top of the device should blink while the AP+2 boots up and configures itself. When a valid connection has been made, the LINK/ACT light will be solid green (for a 100 Mbps Ethernet link) or solid orange (for a 10 Mbps Ethernet link). 33 You may want to try to position the unit’s antennas to improve 33 wireless speed and coverage. 2 Installing the AP+2 as an Ethernet Client The AP+2 can be connected to a gaming device (for example, an Xbox or Playstation) or computer so that device can have wireless access to a wireless network. This chapter explains how to do this. ® Tip! Sony PlayStation devices do not have an Ethernet port.
