Chapter 3 Network Settings and Software Installation To use LevelOne WBR-3404TX correctly, you have to properly configure the network settings of your computers and install the attached setup program into your MS Windows platform (Windows 95/98/NT/2000). 3.1 Make Correct Network Settings of Your Computer The default IP address of this product is 192.168.123.254, and the default subnet mask is 255.255.255.0. These addresses can be changed on your need, but the default values are used in

Step 1: Insert the installation CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive. The following window will be shown automatically. If it isn’t, please run “install.exe” on the CD-ROM. 14

Step 2: Click on the INSTALL button. Wait until the following Welcome dialog to appear, and click on the Next button. Step 3: Select the destination folder and click on the Next button. Then, the setup program will begin to install the programs into the destination folder. 15

Step 4: When the following window is displayed, click on the Finish button. Step 5: Select the item to restart the computer and then click the OK button to reboot your computer. Step 6: After rebooting your computer, the software installation procedure is finished. Now, you can configure the NAT Router (refer to Chapter 4) and setup the Print Server (refer to Chapter 5). 16

Chapter 4 Configuring LevelOne WBR-3404TX WBR-3404TX provides Web based configuration scheme, that is, configuring by your Web browser, such as Netscape Communicator or Internet Explorer. 4.2 Status This option provides the function for observing this product’s working status: A. WAN Port Status. If the WAN port is assigned a dynamic IP, there may appear a “Renew” or “Release” button on the Sidenote column. You can click this button to renew or release IP manually. B. Printer Status.
