2 Hardware Description This Chapter covers the physical installation of the Wireless Broadband Router. 2.1 Physical Details Front-mounted LEDs Figure 1: Front Panel On - Wireless security is enabled. KEY Off - Wireless security is disabled. Blinking – WPS function is currently in use. On - Wireless connection. WLAN Off - No Wireless connections currently exist. On - Corresponding LAN (hub) port is active. LAN Off - No active connection on the corresponding LAN (hub) port.

2.2 Requirements • Network cables. Use standard 10/100BaseT network (UTP) cables with RJ45 connectors. • TCP/IP protocol must be installed on all PCs. • For Internet Access, an Internet Access account with an ISP, and a DSL connection. • To use the Wireless Access Point, all Wireless devices must be compliant with the IEEE 802.11g, IEEE 802.11b and IEEE 802.11n Draft specifications. 9

For best Wireless reception and performance, the Wireless Broadband Router should be positioned in a central location with minimum obstructions between the Wireless Broadband Router and the PCs.
