These adapters provide a future upgrade path for high-end workstations that require more bandwidth than Fast Ethernet can provide. Chapter 1: Overview LEDs All fiber adapter models have two LEDs: LINK and ACT. The LINK LED indicates an active link and the ACT (Activity) LED indicates data transfer status.
