Firmware Updates The firmware of the DMP 44 LC can be updated through USB or RS-232 connection. The user can obtain new firmware from the Extron website. After obtaining the new firmware, upload it to the unit using the Firmware Loader option in the DSP Configurator program (see the “Software Control” section), or using the Extron standalone Firmware Loader application available on the included disc or at www.extron.com. Digital Input Ports The three-pin Digital Input port is used to monitor or drive TTL level digital signals. The port consists of three input pins with the fourth pin being used as a ground providing three inputs total. The DSP Configurator software provides a selection of functions to be loaded to the DMP 44 LC (see the “Software Control” section). 1. DSP Processing and Signal Flow The diagram below shows the signal flow and DSP processing per signal chain. Signal chains and the matrix are described in the following sections. All signal routing, processing, and level control (gain/trim/volume), are accomplished using software control from a PC connected to the DMP 44 LC via the USB configuration port or the RS-232 port.
