5. Hardware Installation Please keep these directions in a safe place. Each time you replace the batteries you will need to re-link your mouse. 1) Insert the enclosed batteries into the battery compartment of your mouse following the directions in Section 3. 2) Plug the Optical Mini Mouse receiver into an available USB port on your computer or USB hub. 7. Uninstall Mouse Software You have two choices. Follow either Method 1 or Method 2. Method 1 1) Right-click on the mouse icon in the system tray (lower right corner of the screen) and click Exit. 2) Close all open applications. 3) Open the Start Menu by clicking on Start in lower left corner of the screen. 4) Click on Programs or All Programs. 5) Click on Browser Mouse. 8. Trouble Shooting • The Mini Optical Mouse does not work properly Optical mice do not work well on glass or highly reflective surfaces. If this applies to you, try using your mouse on a different surface. If your mouse has been idle for a period of time it may be asleep to conserve battery power.
