A blinking LED indicates that the unit is ranging, while a solid LED indicates that a connection has been established and that the modem is ready to transmit and receive. Section 1B Install Your XOHM Modem Using the XOHM Modem Setup Assistant This section outlines the basic steps to install your modem using the XOHM Modem Setup Assistant included on the XOHM Modem Setup Assistant CD that came with your modem. Note You can set up your modem without running the XOHM Modem Setup Assistant, but we recommend that you use the setup assistant for the sake of simplicity and to facilitate future updates and diagnostics. 2. From the XOHM Modem Setup Assistant Welcome screen, click Next. 3. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation wizard. Install Your XOHM Modem 1. If it did not launch automatically, launch the XOHM Modem Setup Assistant by clicking Start > (All) Programs > XOHM > XOHM Modem Setup Assistant.
