Chapter 2 – Installation Location of the Jumpers Note: The Speaker Mode Jumper is for a Modem with the Voice Option Changing the Dial-Up/Leased-Line Jumper As shipped from the factory, your modem is configured for normal dial-up operation. Callback security protects your network from unauthorized access and helps control long-distance costs. When callback security is enabled, all callers are requested to enter a password.
