B Connecting to the Internet 4 PROTECT YOUR NETWORK - CHANGE THE DEFAULT PASSWORDS! Default passwords are commonly shared on the Internet. Protect your information and your network from unauthorized access; change the modem’s default passwords BEFORE connecting to the Internet. Use an Ethernet connection to change the passwords. B Testing Your Internet Connection After changing the default passwords, you are ready to connect to the Internet. 1. Open a browser window. 2. Type in www.motorola.com. If you are able to see the Motorola website, you are ready to enjoy the Internet. If you cannot connect to the Internet you may need to configure your modem.
