Installing the System in a Rack Install the system in the rack once you have read the "Safety Instructions" located in the rack installation documentation for your system. Connecting the Power Connect the system’s power cable to the system. Routing the Power Cable through the Power Cable Retention Bracket Bend the system power cable into a loop as shown in the illustration and secure the cable using the cable retention bracket. Plug the other end of the power cable into a grounded electrical outlet or a separate power source such as an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) or a power distribution unit (PDU).
