About the DECT Handset 4060 Illumination The handset keys are illuminated and the display backlight is activated when there is an incoming call, or if a key is pressed. The lights switch off after 10 seconds. Keypad Use the keypad to: • enter the telephone number • add or edit Telephone Book entries • create or edit text messages To enter a character, press a key from 0 to 9.
