Chapter 1: Introduction About This Guide This guide provides a description of Voice over IP and describes how to administer the DHCP, TFTP, and HTTP servers. It also covers how to troubleshoot operational problems with the 4600 Series IP Telephones and the servers. The 4600 Series IP Telephone product line supports two signaling protocols - the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and the H.323 protocol. The chart below shows the 4600 Series IP Telephone models and the protocol(s) they support.
