Getting Started Getting Started The 6751i must be set up and configured prior to its first use. This section describes phone behavior and start up screens you may see when the phone is first plugged in, or when it is restarted. Plugging in and Starting the Phone The 6751i automatically begins the start up sequence as soon as it is connected. Getting Started No Service When the phone is not properly connected to the network, or the account has not been configured by the Network Administrator, the "No Service" or "Network Disconnected" prompt appears on the display and the telephone status light turns ON. The phone also displays the default time and date of 12:00am Jan. 1st, 2000. Check that the cables are tightly connected to the phone and to the wall jack. Methods for Customizing Your Phone There are two ways to customize specific options on your phone: Serv vi ice es s • Using the Services Key on the IP Phone • Using the Aastra Web UI in an Internet browser window from your PC.
