1. Introduction The Nokia Wireless Stereo Headset (HS-12W) allows you to make and receive phone calls, and listen to FM radio and music tracks. Read this user guide carefully before using the headset. Read also the user guide for your phone, which provides important safety and maintenance information. 2. Get started The headset contains the following parts: • Display (1) Call/play key (2) Volume down key (3) Volume up key (4) Power key (5) Stop key (6) Neck strap clip (7) ties up the strap laces. 3. Basic use ■ Wear the earpieces For a better fit of the earpieces, you can remove the rubber rings around the earpieces or replace them with soft ear pads for enhanced audio quality. The headset comes with three pairs of soft ear pads. Warning: When using the stereo headset your ability to hear outside sounds may be affected. Do not use the stereo headset where it can endanger your safety. ■ Adjust the earpiece volume Press the volume up or volume down key to adjust the earpiece volume. To

If your phone supports voice dialing, press and hold the call/play key until appears on the display. Say the voice tag. The phone dials the related phone number. Mute or unmute the microphone To mute or unmute the microphone during a call, press the power key briefly. To select the next track, press the fast forward key. To select the previous track, press the rewind key. To pause the audio player, press the stop key. To restart it, press the call/play key. To delete a channel, you need to reset the headset to its original settings. All the saved channels are cleared. To change from the FM radio frequency default range (87.5 to 108 MHz) to the range used in Japan (76 to 90 MHz), press and hold the fast forward and rewind keys until the new frequency range is shown. 4. Battery information Your device is powered by a rechargeable battery. The full performance of a new battery is achieved only after two or three complete charge and discharge cycles.
