For more information, see Set rings to answer on page 23. FAX or TAM answer mode The fax machine will answer the telephone, automatically detect fax tones, and receive afax. If you pick up the extension phone and hear a fax tone, enter the code and the fax will start receiving. You cannot change the * *, just the number between them. The code can be 0 to 9.
