KIT ASSEMBLY 99-8205 DIN HEAD UNIT PROVISION A 1 Choose the correct faceplate for your application. The 2005-2008 Matrix #8x3/8” Screw faceplate is smaller than the other supplied faceplate. 2 Attach the pocket to the back of the ISO/DIN Faceplate (by holding the #8x3/8” Screw faceplate upside down and inserting the right edge of the pocket into place then pushing the rest of the pocket onto the lip) and mount with B (2) #8X3/8” Phillips screws. (Figure A) NOTE: For the 2005-2008 Matrix, break

(Figure D) 5 Slide the DIN cage into the Radio Housing and secure by bending the metal locking tabs down. (Figure E) 6 Slide the aftermarket head unit into the cage and secure. KIT ASSEMBLY 99-8205 FINAL ASSEMBLY Locate the factory wiring harness in the dash and make the connection as shown. 1 Metra recomends using the proper mating adapter and making the connections as shown. (Isolate and individually tape off the ends of any unused wires to prevent electrical short circuit.)
